2010 Spillover 03 : Caribbean Waterpark

Last year was a year for a lot of first times. One of the first times was our Bacolod trip last November. Labsy and I were both excited to visit Bacolod especially when a few days before going there, a Caribbean Waterpark in Bacolod was featured in Trip na Trip (a local TV show).

So we booked our selves for an afternoon flight going to Bacolod and an overnight stay in the Caribbean Waterpark. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed and so instead of arriving late afternoon, we arrived early evening.

When we arrived in the airport, we saw their famous big masque at the lobby and we spent a few minutes taking our pictures in/with it. Bacolod's airport is not in the city proper of Bacolod but at Silay City, two cities and one hour away from Bacolod. To get to Caribbean, we could either get in line to ride the van for Php 200.00 each or get a cab for Php 500.00. Since there were five (5) of us (me, labsy, mamo, nonots and helen), we took a cab instead.

After an hour, we arrived at the Caribbean Waterpark and Resotel, where a tall, sexy lady pirate statue welcomed us with a head. We settled in a good for 5 room for Php 2,000.00. We freshen up for a while then went out to grab dinner at a walk-away diner-Aboy's Restaurant, where we tasted a "delish" sinigang and pork binagoongan. We walked our way back to the resotel and then retired for the day.

Morning came and we decided to go out and find breakfast at a 24-hour McDonalds right in front of Bacolod's plaza. After breakfast, we strolled along the streets and find our way to their Cathedral. We went in for a while, prayed and lighted a few candles. Then we continued strolling and arrived in front of SM Bacolod. It was still close, so we just turned around and walk our way back to the Cathedral hailed a cab and went back to the resort and prepared for a good morning swim and slide at their caribbean inspired pool.

They have three swimming pools. One main pool with two giant slides, a pirate ship and light house where we can play in and around. A side pool for kids and another big pool at the back side of the resort where the king of the sea was guarding and a dinosaur-bone-like bridge connecting sides.

We followed our cravings and excitements to swim and slide through their giant swirling slides. It was satisfying with a bit of a faint feeling after a splash as we went off from the slides...

Splash, splash and then super splashhhhhhh...!!!!
