Image
It's May 31, declared to be the "World No Tabacco Day"... But I felt sad when I saw this video... They're just babies... Well, I'm just glad that in Davao City Philippines, we have the anti-smoking ordinance, that prohibits smoking on public places... And here it is below... 13th City Council 30th Regular Session Series of 2002 Republika ng Pilipinas LUNGSOD NG DABAW Tanggapan ng Sannguniang Panlungsod PRESENT:Councilor Emmanuel D. Engine Check

Image
Is this image familiar? Well, this is the check engine indicator... If you see this in your car, when it's suppose to be off... don't take it so lightly... About a month ago, when I started the car, I noticed this signal turned on, when it's supposedly off when the engine starts running. It triggered a worry-mode to me, but since the car is still running, so I guess I have nothing to worry... Hmp! That's what I thought! Sadly, last week, the car stopped running, the engine won't start.. It was too late when we ask the mechanic to check on it... He mentioned an overflow and leak of something in the engine, thus, a portion was clogged and it somehow destroyed some parts that were connected to it... If we could have made it checked to an auto shop or to a mechanic earlier, it wouldn't have been this worst... and won't cost us much... So if you see this, please take your car to the nearest trusted shop before things get worst or too late...

Mati Island Hopping Escapade

Image
In Davao Philippines, we were blessed with nice beaches, great resorts and different venues of the beauty of nature... Our current location in Davao City, gave us much chances and opportunities to explore the wonders of nature. But, we've never had enough... So off, set to go out of town and seek the beauty of Mati, Davao Oriental, Philippines for an exciting Island Hopping on the 23rd day of May 2010... Journey started at 1:30AM, then blank, (I slept all the way...zzzzz...). We arrived in Dahican Beach. Nice beach, beautiful place... Stayed there 'til breakfast, then off to Masaw to hop on the boat waiting for us to start our Island Hopping experience... First stop, Waniban Island... I was in awe as I stepped on the grain of sands and saw my foot prints and the wonderful beach that awaits us... And I thought I saw the best, but the nature told me, "not just yet"... Me and the rest of the group, went back on the boat and waited with excitement on the next Island to vi

Chema's by the Sea Expose'

Image
One of the family's favorite resorts in Samal, Davao del Norte, Philippines is the Bluewaters Resort (http://www.ebluwaters.com/). But every time we visit it, we were curious with the resort nested right next to it, the Chema's by the Sea Resort. It doesn't have a website, so we don't have much idea what the resort looks like and how'd it feel to be there... We searched on some blogs and red a few reviews, and somehow, decided to give it a try... Before going: After contacting the owner through the cellphone number we got from someone's blog site, we made reservations for 7 people... Actually 8, but we didn't count my 2-year old niece... And take note that you cannot bring food to the resorts, except chips... Getting there: In getting t here, you have to go to the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao (http://www.waterfronthotels.com.ph/davao/index.html), pass through it's lobby, leave the car in their parking area of course (;D), and then go straight towards t

Cateel Falls Hopping

Image
Aliwagwag Falls Who says, adventure needs to be so far away from home... Maybe the same person who said "an ostensible was designed with green mold"... whatever that meant... :D Anyway, so I'm into adventure and hubby isn't much, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't drag him into it... Well, I'll have to know if he'd find it in himself that it's sooo much fun!!! Tagolinao Falls So we joined a group of adventure and photography enthusiasts for a Waterfalls Hopping in Cateel, Davao Oriental, Philippines on April 25, 2010... I was so excited yet a bit anxious that hubby might not be up to it when we get there... But we went through anyway.... The trip costs Php1,600 per participant, which includes transportation, breakfast and lunch, which took my breath away, by the way.... Assembly time was 1:00AM and the trip ended around 10:00PM on the same day... The group departed at 1:30AM, it was a five-hour trip, so we arrived on our first destina

Seagull Mountain Resort

Image
Summer's here!!! And it's getting soooo hot around... hmmm... what to do, what to do??? What else, a swim in a very cold Spring is just the perfect activity... So, out of the blue and due to the very warm weather, me, hubby, brother and sis-in-law, geared up and went to Seagull Mountain Resort, Buda early morning of April 10, 2010. From our place, we took a cab to Ecoland Terminal, then an air-cond itioned bus bound for Bukidnon. You wouldn't miss the place, it's just along the road, just after Davao and before Bukidnon, thus BuDa... ;p But, if you don't know the place, you can ask the driver to drop you off at the Seagull Mountain Resort and he sure will! For rates and other concerns, feel free to check the list..
