Happy New Year!!!

It's 2011!!! Happy New Year!!!

Another new year has just started and it feels like the year that has been hadn't really went away just yet. Lot of things happened and lots of places were covered last year... There were lots of amazing rides and lots of amazing stories to tell. Well, last one I told you about was our Manila trip with friends last October, the last stop after Baguio and Subic getaway. But the race didn't end there...

Before I start talking about how I'm gonna start this year's journey and adventure, maybe I'll have to tell you all stories left unsaid...

Day 1: Wednesday, Sep. 11, 2013 (Hello Laoag!) Paoay Church Our flight from Davao departed at 10:05 AM, Labsy and I were glad we had this schedule. Perfect enough that we don't need to be too early in the airport, we can still enjoy breakfast and just in time for lunch when we reach Manila. We stayed in the airport since we had another flight to Laoag at 7:05 PM and grab the chance to find some electrical outlets to charge our phones. Our first day was spent mostly at the airport and since we won't be staying long in Laoag, I opted to look for a cheaper place to stay. I thought since we will arrive way past 8PM and will leave early the next morning to start the site seeing, a so-so place would be OK. But NO, it wasn't! Yumi the Snow White - by me Last Saturday, Feb. 12, my niece was celebrating her birthday in advance. Her dad, my brother, is leaving for his work before her birthday, Feb 22, so they celebrated it ahead. My sis-in-law, requested me to take care of the tarp, and I said why not. It will be my gift to Yumi. Fairy barbie Yumi - by Kuya Jer Friday came with the tarp in mind that it will be a Barbie themed, I did not have a design in mind yet. My officemate and dear friend Kuya Jerry is not that busy, so I asked him if maybe he could make one for me. But then he's making one for another friend, so I thought, if he could finish one with a barbie/princess style, that's good, but I'll make one something on a modern rock-in-roll kind, so my niece will have a choice. My First Dive (Samal Island)

I have been intrigued by scuba diving for a long time but didn't have an open door to make a step towards it. I've always been a fan of the world under and fascinated w/ the whole new universe that sea creatures are having. But, as they say, anything is possible! A day to visit the world under "UP CLOSE & PERSONAL" happened for real! Orientation by Sir Ivan I expected to have a better diving chance on our future travel to Coron, Palawan. But what do you know??? Ma'am Beth, the owner of the boarding house where my father and brothers used to stay while in Manila, visited Davao and stayed in our humble home for a few days. Who happens to be an avid fan of scuba diving and wanted to experience diving in Samal Island to add to her list. Well, as expected, mom won't join us since she's afraid of activities like that.
