Baguiocious, Zoobic and Klownz Airlines - Part III

Image
The 3rd of the three-part-story would be this... Our Manila stop-over before goin' home to Davao a fter Baguio and Subic escapade.   Manila, the capital of the Republic of the Philippines. It was Alden, Em-em, Hilda and Judith's first time to visit Manila. So even with the little time that we have left, we managed to experience a little taste of Manila. When we arrived in Manila from Subic, we just went to our dorm for a quick cleanup and then went out for a late night comedy bar happenings... We then went straight to Quezon Ave. for Alan K's Klownz comedy bar, where their main set then was Ate Gay. It was a fun evening, everyone had a great time laughing out loud on every joke and punch lines thrown on stage. Then we went back to our dorm with a smile up to our ears and funny memories we can take home with. The following day (Oct 25, 2010), was Em, Alden, Judith and Hilda's day to go home, back to Davao. But before going to the airport, we went to Manila Cath

Sleep

Sleep is one of the things that the young generations, normally takes advantage. When I was younger, sleep would be the most little that I have. But that was because, we prioritize, other activities like studying, reading, listening to the music, engage in sports and maybe have fun on the streets, bar or just hanging out with friends. Now, at my 30ish, I still enjoy a few hours of sleep, but at the end of the week, I get too exhausted and tired that it'll get drag up to the start of the following week. Hence, the first day of the following week would be a mess... Lesson learned, never take advantage of anything. Every little thing that we have or we need, is a BIG part of our life, sleep as one of them... Even laptops, ipads, ipods, and the rest of our dearest gadgets even sleep... :) To know more on the importance of our sleep, visit http://www.emedicinehealth.com/sleep_understanding_the_basics/page2_em.htm#Importance%20of%20Sleep ...

Baguiocious, Zoobic and Klownz Airlines - Part II

Image
Part I was the tiring, freezing and refreshing at the same time-escapade. It ended with a rest in a clean room of La Brea Inn ( http://labrea.webs.com/ ) down in the Session Road, Baguio City, Philippines. And that's how Oct 23-Baguio-adventure faded, but remained in our hearts. Then the morning of the following day (Oct 24, 2010) came and so does the Part II of the getaway started. We all woke up early, some of us had doughnuts from Dunkin Donuts ( https://www.dunkindonuts.com/ ) across the street and most of us had hot chocolates and coffee, then we went straight to the Victory Liner ( http://www.victoryliner.com/ ) terminal and bought ourselves tickets to Olongapo City to pet some animals, most specially tigers ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger ) in Zoobic, Subic ( http://www.zoobic.com.ph/ ). The road trip was a six-hour exhausting ride, but it was worth the wait. After the trip, we had lunch in Chowking ( http://www.chowking.com/ ) and Labsy again contracted a jeepney d

Baguiocious, Zoobic and Klownz Airlines - Part I

Image
A few months back, Cebu Pacific Airlines ( http://www.cebupacificair.com /) and AirPhil Express ( http://www.airphilexpress.com/ ) gave out seat sales again. Well, Labsy's friends/officemates wanted to join us on one of our adventures outside of Davao City, Philippines. So, we booked us (me and labsy) via Airphil Express and Labsy's officemates Hilda with sister Judith, Hanie with daughter Eryn, and Alden with GF Em-em via Cebu Pacific Air. Months passed and the excitement grew more and more every day. Tensions and financial preparation became a priority. Until finally, the moment came. But before it happened, two from the group decided not to join the adventure, Hanie and her daughter, Eryn. Hence, despite the bad news, on the night of last Oct 22 (2010), we flew from Davao City to Metro Manila in two separate airlines and met up at the nearest Mc Donalds from the NAIA Terminal 3, about an hour before midnight. After a little rest, the group of six (6) went to the Victory

So long, Our Dearest Jackie

Image
There is no measure how devastated I feel at this moment. I lost yet again another dear to me, Jackie. Maybe it's her time, but then again, maybe not. I somehow convinced myself that she has gone beyond the four corners of her world into a better horizon. But I also regret that she left me, left us. The whole family misses her now. She has been with us for years already. And finally left the family a couple of hours ago. Even with all the signs that she has gone already, still we kept the machine running, wishing she just might be asleep and will awake out of nowhere... But no, she did not. We just turned the machine off, she's gone, she's gone forever... So long, our dearest flowerhorn Jackie, we will miss you so...

Gummy Vites Over-effect

Image
My brother Nino, brought home with him a bottle of Gummy Vites, it's vitamins for adult and kids 6 yrs old and above. It looks and tastes like the gummy candies I used to buy in the department stores, trolli. Since it's vitamins and it says 4 piece a day, I said, since Labsy ask me to stop eating those candies I used to buy, I said to myself, this is vitamins and tastes like those candies, so why not... For about a few days, I would take 2 in the morning and another 2 at night, I wasn't actually concerned on what it gives to my body, I was concerned on the gummy candy feel and fruity tastes. Since I really love those candies and used to eat a lot, from 4 piece a day of these vites, I took 8 or maybe 10 this morning alone, I can't really remember, I can only recall I took many delish little candies, and what happened? Felt like I overdose, since I felt so sleepy and really slept for 4 straight hours. In fact, I just woke up a few minutes ago, and still feels heavy an

Morning Jog...

It has been a long time since the last time I went out early morning to jog. Had another chance this morning with Mom, Bro and Labsy. We wanted to bring dutch and mitch along, but we changed our mind cause it will be our first time in People's Park and we don't know yet what we're up against when we get there. So we started the day early at 5:00 AM and went straight to People's Park of Davao City, Philippines to walk and jog for a mile or two. Mom, Bro and I each brought our i-pods to get us a music feel while doing the exercise and for the first time, I was able to use Nike's sensor to monitor and calculate calories lost, time and distance worked out through my i-pod touch, and it was cool. For details, check this site out, http://www.apple.com/ipod/nike/ . After about 30 minutes of jogging and walking alternately as the songs in my touch switched from one after another. A group of aerobics instructors got their music up and started to warm more all the warmed

Sidewalk

Image
From wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/ A sidewalk (also pavement , footway , and sometimes platform ) is a path along the side of a road . A sidewalk may accommodate moderate changes in grade (height) and is normally separated from the vehicular section by a curb (British spelling: kerb), there may also be a strip of vegetation, grass or bushes or trees or a combination of these between the pedestrian section and the vehicular section (known as a parkway/tree lawn in the United States). In some places, the same term may also be used for a paved path, trail or footpath that is not next to a road, for example, a path through a park. Labsy dropped by his office earlier this evening to leave some documents. While his at it, I dropped by Lots for Less to buy a Php 10.00 worth of peanuts. Which was situated right next to its gate, along the sidewalk. Labsy's office building, is right next to this Lots for Less store. So, after buying the peanuts, I walked along the sidewa

Part IV: Bangkok, Thailand - The Show Capital for meauh!

Image
Last of the four place/country stops we had, was Bangkok, Thailand. On August 22, 2010, we were booked at 10:00 AM from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok via Airasia Airlines ( www.airasia.com ). While at Malaysia's airport, I was talked to by the locals in a certain foreign tongue that I couldn't understand. I thought they were talking to me in a Malaysian language, but no, they weren't. They were talking in Indonesian language, because they thought I was Indonesian. Now I know which country I belong, lol...   Anyway, it was our first time to visit all four countries, but in all four of them, Thailand had the most friendly welcome parties. When we arrived, we knew what hotel to go to and somehow, we just planned to take a cab and let the driver deliver us there. But what surprised us was there were lots of agencies and agents, welcoming all travelers and assisted them in getting a hotel or a tour if they need and for us, an agent gave us a piece of paper with the nam

Part III : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Extravanganza!

Image
While Part I was exciting, Part II was interesting, Part III would be exhilarating! After conquering Singapore and Indonesia, it's time to cross the borders and go to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! August 20 was our last day in Singapore, which was scheduled for the Universal Studios, but after an exciting day in US, we bought tickets for a 5-hour coach ride to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the Golden Mile Complex, where many agencies would love to take your money and arrange a ride or a tour for you to KL. For more details, you may check out this site for schedule, rates and coaches, http://www.busonlineticket.com/ . The ride was approximately 5 hours, we started traveling at around 11:30 PM, so we arrived at around 4:30 AM. It was too early to go around Malaysia yet, so we went to a 24-hour open Mc Donalds and stayed for an hour. We asked the fast food crew where Chinatown is, where our hotel, Hotel Chinatown2 was located and fortunately, he said, we were just a walk away from it. So w
