Part IV: Bangkok, Thailand - The Show Capital for meauh!

Last of the four place/country stops we had, was Bangkok, Thailand. On August 22, 2010, we were booked at 10:00 AM from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok via Airasia Airlines (www.airasia.com). While at Malaysia's airport, I was talked to by the locals in a certain foreign tongue that I couldn't understand. I thought they were talking to me in a Malaysian language, but no, they weren't. They were talking in Indonesian language, because they thought I was Indonesian. Now I know which country I belong, lol...

Anyway, it was our first time to visit all four countries, but in all four of them, Thailand had the most friendly welcome parties. When we arrived, we knew what hotel to go to and somehow, we just planned to take a cab and let the driver deliver us there. But what surprised us was there were lots of agencies and agents, welcoming all travelers and assisted them in getting a hotel or a tour if they need and for us, an agent gave us a piece of paper with the name of our hotel and directions so the driver can take us there. And it actually helped. The cab driver we had did not understand our copy/directions in english, but when we gave him the piece of paper the agent gave us, he did and we were taken to our pre-booked hotel-Vaboir Lodge Royal Suite Hotel. Please see the details below for more info.

How to get to the hotel: From Suwannaphum Airport around 20-30 minutes by taxi/cab.

After settling in our hotel, we ordered for a room service to quench our thirst and answer our hunger. And the Thai food was soooo delish and spicy to the highest level which I loved so dearly, which just made me miss them now. Might need to go back to Bangkok one of these days, if financial situation permits somehow that is... :D

Well, after brunch, we rested for the afternoon and headed to their "The Mall", just around the corner, about around the next block from our hotel, but we knew that after the taxi took us there and realized, it was just a walk away. But then still, we took another cab back to our hotel after a little shopping... lol... Speaking of shopping, Bangkok is a perfect place to do that. Lots of sales, discounts from 10%-70%, and gimmicks for everyone. We bought a few stuffs, since Labsy and I have barely very few clean clothes due to this 2-week adventure, that we enjoyed so much! Then went back to the hotel and ordered another delish room service for dinner.

Then morning came, and since we were able to arranged a half day city tour at the airport, we went straight to their main city to meet our tour guide, Sandy. City tour went smooth with the Buddha temples, jewel store/factory, fabric and tailoring stores. We enjoyed discovering the different faces of Buddha, the stories about them and the culture and tradition of Thais that Sandy graciously told us.

Then the morning ended, but the day hasn't yet. And through the kindness of Sandy, she booked us for a joined tour to Samphran Elephant Ground and Zoo, Crocodile Farm and Orchid Nursery. So, after the city tour, we were fetch by another tour guide, Sam, and went straight for an hour ride to Samphran. The magic show started when we arrived and what amazed us the most in all his acts were the fish in the aquarium act. First thing, the magician was putting water into the aquarium then the next thing we knew, there were fishes right after a second of covering the aquarium. Cool aye? How'd he do that?

Then came the elephant show and they were all so adorably cute. Can't imagine a large, or should I say, huge animal can be soooo cute to watch. They were lovable. They played, acted, danced and posed like a model. Their show even have a war act back in the old age, and with fireworks!

After the elephant show was the crocodile show. We have had that here in Davao City, Philippines, but this show is way different. The actors were sticking their head inside the mouth of the crocodile for Pete's sake! They toss them like they were just toys in our toy cabinets and that scares me badly. After the show we strolled a while, took pictures with some elephants that were roaming around the park and then with the tigers, big, really big tigers.

The tour ended with shopping for souvenirs, mostly Thailand shirts for the family back home. For more details, rates and other info, you may visit http://www.elephantshow.com/eng/home.htm. Then Sam, took us to our final tour destination, another jewel and fabric store their agency owns, and then the store shuttle took us to MBK, their big main mall in the city to give us more shopping experience and to take our rest while we wait for the time before going to our next destination, the ultimate, Siam Niramit Show, which Sandy also arranged for us.

Sandy only arranged the show reservation and dinner, but the good part is, we only paid for the show's entrance fee and they give us the buffet dinner for free because of Sandy's agency's connection to the show. For show details and rates, please visit http://www.siamniramit.com/.

The show was so amazing, I couldn't believe my eyes seeing all this beautiful creations and acts and nature right in front of us and on a theater stage. It was the most amazing and beautiful show I have ever seen in my entire life. They were so real and effects were so fabulously arranged and managed. There aren't enough words to describe it, and I cannot show you any picture since all cams and video cams were deposited after dinner, right before the show started. But nevertheless, I can still imagine them doing the show and it still made me in awe, full of amazement.

After the show, we went back to our hotel, took our baggage and went straight to the airport for our 12:00MN flight back to Manila. And that concluded our 4-country-getaway of the year.

I have never really thought we could go to these places one day, but we did! God is good, all the time and he blesses us everyday. So let's keep our faith, continue to enjoy life and be happy with the people we love and the people who loves us...
