Happy Trying Times...

One of the happy times as I become a married person is the designing and decorating of the house. I love imagining some details and making it into a reality, with a consideration of a limited budget. We (Labsy and I) both enjoyed planning the interior of our little house, deciding the colors of the wall, the division, the type of window, the cabinets, the closet, etc...

When we did the interior of the first half of the place, we enjoyed every detail. The most we enjoyed was the finding of space, since it was too little to have it all. But we made it, all in minis. Mini sala, mini kitchen, mini room, mini cr. It wasn't so bad and we both loved it, especially the experience. We had so much fun, buying the materials for the house, from the cement, to the plywood, paint, varnish, glass and of course the furnitures.

Recently, we continued the 2nd half of the place. Somehow, we were able to enlarge some areas. The room is a bit bigger now, we transferred the living room and the kitchen to a new location and the old living room became our den. After the electrical wirings, we temporarily stopped the renovation. It was due for some paintings but since we haven't decided yet what color and what else to put and what-not, we decided to put a halt for a while.

We weren't so sure about the paintings yet, but we were sure about the balusters for varnishing, so, we took the challenge and tried it ourselves. It was not just mere extra load but t'was an exercise as well. The varnishing part was so overwhelming and for me, it was not something new. I have had some carpentry and painting works at home with my brothers and I normally get a lot of fun doing these.

Unfortunately, we still have to sand the balusters, and so we did. Well, I guess we should have asked someone else to do that, cause asthma was perfectly on the way. But that did not stop us. Despite the cough/asthma, we continued until we were able to finish varnishing the balusters in the room, for our mini loft. Then a few days back, we decided to hire two persons to do the painting job for the rest of the paint-due parts of the house. I'd rather want to be asthma free... :)

Well, we finished the part we wanted done, so that was good enough for now. And we both had so much fun doing it, fulfilling and rewarding...

Hhhaaayyyy... we have to admit, there are things we can and can't do, but we'll have no idea which if we don't give it a try... So for trying new or uncertain things, it is definitely a YES! Good luck!
