Friends, bully each other... for real...

My hot choco
It's been twelve years since I've graduated from college. It's been 12 years since me and my college friends stop seeing each other everyday. We've got more or less five years of history in college and another 12 years of life we lived separately but interlinking in more ways than one.

Friendship grows with time, and we know, that with true friends, true bullying happens, but it wouldn't matter much at all. We're a group of friends in our 30ish but still would go beyond childish, embarrass ourselves in front of strangers and will just laugh about it and make it part of another bit of memory to cherish.

The cake, too sweet...
Two friends will be leaving for the US and they had a thanks giving party last April 2, which also happens to be another friend's (PJ's), birthday. So our birthday celebrator wasn't there to join us, but we somehow bombarded him with text messages for his birthday treat and ended agreeing for a coffee treat, or so we thought. lol.

PJ
Tentative meet date was on the following Saturday, April 9. Unfortunately, one of us  won't be free on that day, so before Saturday came, everyone's leaving comments on my status in FB to confirm and not confirm the said meet. Unfortunately for PJ, despite mentioning him more than once, wasn't able to visit facebook for a while. Harry, was the one texting him and somehow, we agreed to meet last Monday, April 11 at the Coffecat at Torres Ave.

So, everybody came and we all sat together and started catching up. But, when we get into the point of ordering something, everybody assumed it was PJ's birthday treat, and so we kind-of pushed him in doing just that. Well, PJ didn't know it was going to be his birthday treat.... He was more than surprised that we all assumed it was.

Nevertheless, PJ did treat us that night. I guess we were so loud and so convincing and perhaps embarrassing him enough, so he stopped us from whatever we were doing and decided to allow us to mess with him and treat us for some coffee. ;p

So, two had mocha avalanche, three had white chocolate mocha, one had white mocha avalanche, which he didn't like much and I had hot choco, care-of PJ. Then we bought some yummy chocolate cake and cinnamon to join in the fun, while we talk about a few future plans, more old stuffs and missing friends who couldn't be there.

With me and Labsy
It's always fun to be with friends you're so comfortable with. There's no dull moment and no hesitations at all. We even bully and make fun with each other to no limit, and we'd still go home with smiles on our faces and another memory chip right into our functioning-like-no-other brains. :))

  1. it's been 12 years (plus 5) already of friendship. i still feel we've just graduated in college (esp when we see each other). hahahaha. fun times. i do pray after 30 or 40 years we could still sit down together just like that and bully at each other. i will certainly miss them (april n' janeth) but i hope and pray they'll have a good life in FL. (so they can buy my miami heat swingman jersey no.3) hehe. FRIENDS FOREVER
