Weddings...

Planning a wedding?

My friend Yang is planning her wedding... She's getting married this year. I remember how events like this is such an exciting, overwhelming and God knows, tiring...

Things we (me and labsy - don) needs to prepare. From church setups to the reception, to the give-aways and gowns...

And of course, the much saved and maybe loaned $$$$$ for the one-big-awaited-day. Everything should be paid for... Whew! thank God we've got some hand and some sponsors...

Here are few things to consider...
  • Paper works - The Church would require some documents from the couple. Baptismal, Confirmation, Parish clearance and of course the marriage license among others. But then before you can request for your license, you need to get your CeNoMar (Certificate of No Marriage) from NSO (National Statistics Office)... Gosh! we need to fall in line... I can imagine... But thanks to my friend Evelyn, she took care of the CeNoMar... then we (me & don) took care of the rest...
  • Fashion Talks - The gowns, barongs, etc... Well, one of my best college buddies named Janeth, offered her 1 maid of honor, 2 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls gowns. And so, our only problem then was to look for something who will look good on them. And then she even offered her wedding shoes (my something borrowed, am lucky, they fit...). Well, we had 6 flower girls plus cute couple for the little bride and groom, then 3 more little guys for the bearer, all gowns and barongs were sponsored by their parents (thanks to ates and kuyas - don's brothers and their wives). Further, my brothers barongs are taken cared by my parents. See how good it went??? :D
  • Venues
    • Church - needs flowers, singers, readers, offerers, the sponsors, the secondary sponsors, your main entourage... whew!.. and don't forget the accessories, special symbols and bonds, the veil, the aray, the bible and the rings... (make sure someone reliable is holding the rings before the priest bless them. In some churches, a crasher takes a couples rings away... watch it!)
    • Reception - THE FOOD!!! It matters, the arrangement of the flowers, the table, the wine (for the parade...), the program, the cake, the wedding car, the video coverage, and of course, the room...
See, these are just few of the things to worry about... But all things will just fall into place... Request few friends to be harrassed on that event and be a free spirit... If something goes wrong, don't worry, everyone will forgive you, because IT IS YOUR DAY... so HAVE FUN and HAVE A GRAND DAY!

Good luck!!!

And most of all, pray that your partner appears on that special day, while walking down the isle (bride) or waiting at the altar (groom)... Just focus on your partner, look to his/her eyes and feel the beauty of love...
