Blue Waters made the so called weekends...

Bro#2 came home (Philippines) recently, and before that, he kept on asking which resort to visit on one of our weekends. I gave him lots of ideas and places but he was intrigued by mom's favorite place/resort in Samal, Davao del Norte where she kept describing as the best so far. Mom never really like going to Samal cause it entails either riding in a boat or the ferry, but she will not deny herself if it is going to Blue Waters Beach Resort.

So one fine weekend of July 10 and 11, 2010, we decided to visit Blue Waters, stayed overnight and had soooo much fun together. Ten of us stayed overnight, mom, bro & gf, me and labsy, my neice, her mom (sis-in-law), her nanay, labsy's cousin and my neice from Bohol. Two stayed only for a few hours, Bing and Baldwin, cousins of sis-in-law.

They have different room types available for you to choose from but we picked the one in the Garden which can accommodate everyone. This costs Php 4,000.00 for 8 occupants and additional of  Php 300.00 in excess. Since my neice is just 2 yrs old, she's not counted, so we only have one excess, that means Php 4,300.00 for the room alone. The two who did not stay overnight was charged only Php 150.00 each for the day tour. The boat ride by the way, costs Php 200.00 for one way thus Php 400.00 for to and fro the island, but if you'll come through the ferry at Km. 11, Sasa Port, that'll be Php 270.00 per car for one way or Php 15.00-30.00 for the bus ride and another Php 30.00-40.00 for the motorcycle ride to the resort, all for one way of course.

Well, half of the group went through the boat since the car is too small for the group, but the other half also needs to pass through the ferry so we can bring extra food, since they have a no-food policy if you went through their Lanang Port for the boat ride, which will go straight to the resort.

Well, we (the boat group) arrived around a lil' past 2PM, and yumi would not stop crying cause she wanted to swim already, and since all our bags are with the ferry group, we swam and played with the sand with the clothes we came in with. Thus, I was in my long shorts and shirt and yumi with her new dress, a gift from her uncle (bro#2).. Ahhh... kids... they love swimming so much...

The other group came a lil' later and joined us in the beach. We ordered sotanghon seafoods guisado for Php 200.00 and it was delish I'd say... Or maybe I was just too hungry to criticize??? Whatever the case was, it was fantastic as far as I remember.. We had french fries too which yumi immediately called "Jollibee"... We had snacks then continued swimming, though some concentrated their attention grilling some pork, chicken and tuna for dinner... and they were yummy!

After dinner we went back to the beach and since it was low tide then, we went to the pool instead. They have 3 pools. 1 for the lil' kids, 1 maybe for the teens and 1 for the adults which was 4 to maybe 6 ft deep. And what do you know, we went for a midnight meal after swimming...

The morning came, yumi woke up at 4:00AM, so bro#2 and me went out already and prepared for her "lugaw" (congee). Then cooked rice for breakfast and after that headed to the beach with mom for an early morning swim... While at it, we ordered 2 of their breakfast set meal for Php 200.00 each, one (1) with bacon, the other with longganisa, then egg, choice of bread or rice (we opted for bread but they told us, there aren't any bread available), coffee, and fruit juice (pineapple this time), and it was worth it actually...

Then we ordered additional sotanghon and buttered chicken which we asked to be served in our room for the real-full breakfast/branch meal..

Except for some few but somehow manageable problems, the weekend was superb! So maybe you may want to visit the place as well, at least I already gave you an idea, but for other details and rates, you may visit their website at http://ebluwaters.com/ for your reference and guide...

But most importantly, sharing the sunset by the beach with your love ones really made the tomorrow worth looking forward to....
