Is it 2012? Are we ready?

Well, we don't just stand and wait for it. After Japan's earthquake, Philippines started asking, how ready are we (http://opinion.inquirer.net/inquireropinion/editorial/view/20110315-325475/Are-we-ready)?; are we prepared (http://www.senate.gov.ph/press_release/2011/0314_legarda2.asp)? Let us ask ourselves, have we done our part to prevent or at least lessen the chance of global warming?
After everything that happened in Japan. It made a lot of people think and re-evaluate the situation of the country they live in. Countries with nuclear plants, revisited their safety and security protocols, defenses and disaster readiness. One delayed the implementation of a nuclear plant and rechecked the contingency measures and tragedy preparedness. Some countries including Philippines, checked the earthquake fault lines, buildings, bridges and citizens within the area. Everybody was asking, how will we deal with such tragedies as Japan if it will come to us?
