Coffee Sober....

Image
I've been one of those who doesn't let the day go by without coffee in the menu. Coffee during breakfast, morning break, afternoon break and before bedtime. This is the minimum. But this year's lent, I offered my favorite drink as a sacrifice. No coffee after the Ash Wednesday mass onwards until Easter Sunday. That was it. I thought I couldn't be successful, but to this date April 25, 2011, as far as I could remember, I have been coffee free. I'm so proud of myself. I somehow substituted some chocolate energy drink for it and it was cool... During those days there had been coffee shop gatherings and hang outs but I chose hot chocolate instead. I loved the smell of coffee as they were served for my company, but somehow I made it to this day not to indulged. Maybe tomorrow I'll have my first sip... ;-) Well, it's passed Easter Sunday and I made it! If I could do this, maybe I could also let go of other stuff as well. We all could. Perhaps, something real...

Friends, bully each other... for real...

My hot choco It's been twelve years since I've graduated from college. It's been 12 years since me and my college friends stop seeing each other everyday. We've got more or less five years of history in college and another 12 years of life we lived separately but interlinking in more ways than one. Friendship grows with time, and we know, that with true friends, true bullying happens, but it wouldn't matter much at all. We're a group of friends in our 30ish but still would go beyond childish, embarrass ourselves in front of strangers and will just laugh about it and make it part of another bit of memory to cherish. The cake, too sweet... Two friends will be leaving for the US and they had a thanks giving party last April 2, which also happens to be another friend's (PJ's), birthday. So our birthday celebrator wasn't there to join us, but we somehow bombarded him with text messages for his birthday treat and ended agreeing for a coffee trea...

choco caramel cake @ seattle's best Whew! Enough with 2010 escapades... It was one SUPER FULL year of adventures and unending getaways... Lots of places covered, lots of calories gained as well. The one thing that was constant in all the places we've been to, is the volume of the food we ate... Normally, a lot! Well, I did not say that I'd stop getting in the bandwagon  of travels and fun rides when the year ends... The fun hasn't ended yet! 2011 has a lot of in-store for everyone... For me and Labsy? Hmmm... Let see... first stop? Off to the Philippines' Last Frontier, Palawan... I never really thought that this trip was possible for me and Labsy, but it was. It happened! We planned the trip for Labsy's 33rd birthday (Jan 23) and our 4th wedding anniversary (Jan 25). It was also good timing that Dodoy, my bro, is also home on those dates, so we booked them (him and wife, Lay) tickets to join us on this amazing trip. All four of us were soooo overly exci...

Life Options...

Last night was a bit strange yet it wasn't the first time either... I couldn't sleep yet my whole physique is silently and violently insisting for a long awaited rest. Well, my usual first move is to take a sip of a very hot coffee, but not last night. It calls for a 'lil more extreme measure. I looked for my recently availed *.avis, plugged my laptop and tried viewing some movies while lying and keeping my eyes half opened/closed. It pretty much worked. 'Cause the next thing I know, it was morning already and I'm hearing Yumi (my niece), shouting and calling her lola (grandma) from the loft... Life as we sometimes see as a line to follow and we seldom see that we are always offered an option. Options we may never want to consider but still an option nonetheless. Most of the time, we believed that something we used to is always better than something new, but we'll never knew what works best if we haven't tried both. So, let's bear in mind, that i...
