My Metrobank Experience

Image
Metrobank  website says "Our commitment to you drives us to be the Best Bank in the country" ... I used to love my Metrobank credit card. It's the one card that goes through the very busy Cebu Pacific promo time and you don't have to worry since they also have this online secure access. Further, they have this "waive your annual fee" thing with a catch that is so manageable. It used to be my favorite credit card, with the smallest credit limit, manageable charges and good service. UNFORTUNATELY, they seem to have lost it. When my first card got expired (I've had it since 2006), they sent me a new card with the same card number and all. When I tried to use it to purchase tickets online, it won't go through since my secure access key is incorrect. I thought, they must have changed it, since this is a new card. I called their customer care and requested to reset it, if they cannot retrieve it and send it to me either via email or text message and ...

GMRC - Good manners and right conduct! So easy to say, not that easy to do. Some even don't actually know what that is. A few weeks back, it was more than just a realization. With all the social networking sites available right at the tip of our fingertips, literally I might add, I noticed it doesn't just open up a new horizon and means for socialization, it also made us see another persons personality. To some, these sites have become another form of addiction. They're online 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). If you're one of those who are, at some point, stays longer online than hanging out with real people, you might be interested on this link, http://www.lifehack.org/articles/productivity/managing-your-social-network-addiction.html . I am definitely not perfect. But each day I believe, we all try to be the best person we could, or not really, maybe at least try NOT TO BE the worst person we could, though sometimes we ended up being one. And sometimes, we...

Can someone really change?

I'm a believer that everyone can change. I personally believed that I have. I've developed a better me, I think. Growing up, I have things I can never forget. I wasn't "born with a silver spoon in the mouth" as a quote would say. My family was one of those who suffered and tried to conquer poverty, who crawled for success. We're not really very successful on all endeavors, but we have managed to raise up in every fall and fly higher in every flight. I have a very vivid scene in mind that made me strive more to grow up, finish school and earn more than a person who stepped on my family, earned. It was a scene when I was about 12 years old. My Papo requested something to someone close and that someone turned him down. It wasn't bad to turn him down, I know everyone has priorities and own needs. But what made me hate that person for a long time was that, that person did not believed our family needed help. That person be little us, made stories and continue...

Too difficult to love? Or excuses?

Do you ask these questions? Am I too strange that you cannot see the simplicity of my being? Am I too strong, that it hides my fragility and weaknesses, that you simply ignore the depth of my pain? Am I too invulnerable that you find me difficult to love? Questions we sometimes ask. We even wonder why we needed to ask them? Questions we never thought we would one day... Was I wrong to have loved? Did I have the person who love me the most? Would he/she have my suffering a priority? Or would he/she be my knight in shining armor? Would he consider me in pain when I am and carry me, or would he take advantage of my weakness and stab me with unpleasantries? would she see my difficulty and assist me or would she let me suffer the consequencies of being who I am? We don't and cannot control another human being let alone ask them to feel how they should toward us. More often than not, it's a matter of how dear are we to them. How badly they want pain in or out of us. Or what p...
