Why NOT take thy life?

Everyone gets into the most undesirable position in life. It's relative, yes, but it's also true. We sometimes end up saying, "it's better to die than to live" or "I am better dead than suffer" or "I'd rather die than see them happy". But hey, why would we want to take our life? Because we're not happy? Will we be if we would? Some would say, we won't, but we won't suffer with the pain either. Some would say, taking one's life would make the people we left suffer and that's important.

But do we have any idea how indispensable are we?  That when we take our life, the rest of the world, will still move on. Oh, yes, they will mourn for our death, they will say the nicest words we can think of, in eulogy or during the wake. That we are a lost to them. And yes, they will come visit our grave every year for the first five years maybe, but after that, everyone will move on. They won't even mention you in any conversation.

So, will it be worth it? Friends will continue schooling, get a job, get married, have kids and be merry. Family will gather on the date you left every year, but they will continue to celebrate every graduation, fiesta, wedding, christening and all the events that come their way as well. All of which, we can never be part of anymore.

Well, those are the consequences... But will they overrule the reason? Maybe, maybe not, but I hope we will find a better reason, not to... And know that no matter what happens to anyone, the rest of the world will continue to move, walk or run away from the past towards the future life nobody is certain, but I'm sure it's something everybody looks forward to...
