Wakeboarding

And I never thought I will have the chance to do this! Wakeboarding...

Guess what, I did!!!! I had sooooo much fun doing it, well, didn't actually finished the route, but amazingly tried many times...

The group started early, we arrived at around 8AM at the Deca Wakeboard Park, Mintal, Davao City, Philippines, a 30-45-minute ride from the City Proper. We paid 500 for the unlimited tries for half day (until 12NN)... However, they have a new rate starting April 1.

Since there is a special rate for the DECA home owners and Davao City residence, we were ask to present our IDs. Then fill in the waiver form, paid and off we go to the briefing area. The officer was so kind and so nice to answer all our questions, may it be nonsense or unnecessary...

It was our first time, so we were kind of scared and hesitant but excited as well. Then we suit up! Hmmm... We were all wondering if we can make it to a full round... And so wonder no more! Geared up, put on the life vest/suit, helmet on the head, and THE BOARD... I preferred the slip-on board, where the foot wear were like slippers, though I tried the shoe-type, and I had a hard time swimming back to the ramp after the fall... ;p

And so we head on the ramp, one by one tried the sport and as my officemate would described, "raped by the machine"... after trying countless times, I was undoubtedly tired and my best time was 10 seconds, hahahaha.... never really made it even to the nearest ramp... but the feeling was incredibly fantastic...

AND I WOULD LOVE TO DO IT AGAIN!!! Maybe will keep trying 'til I become as good as this young Korean who made wakeboarding seemed like the easiest water sport ever...
